If you are in the Lake District and are looking for a challenge, our Lake District Guided Walks are a great place to start. You might want to improve your skills in the mountains, build your confidence or just have a fun day out with your friends and family. Our Guided Walks are a great way to see the beautiful mountains that Cumbria has to offer. Whether it’s scaling the mighty heights of Scafell Pike, England’s highest mountain, scrambling across the brilliant Striding Edge on Helvellyn or taking your first steps up The Fairfield Horseshoe, we have something for everybody, from all walks of life.

Our walks offer you a great opportunity to chat to us about future plans and ambitions. You can talk to us about the Courses and Expeditions we offer. On your return, visit our in-house Climbing and Bouldering Wall, or come and relax in our Café Altitude, serving home-made food, great coffee and offering panoramic views over Ambleside and the surrounding area.

Our Lake District Guided Walks are aimed at outdoor enthusiasts or beginners who would like to explore the Lake District fells under our expert guidance without the need to have good navigation skills. Our Guided Walks are graded from easy to hard. You can join as an individual, a couple, a family or a group.

We do allow well behaved dogs on our walks but please let us know. Equally, if you don’t wish to be on a walk with dogs please let us know so we can manage the arrangements.

Cost of Guided Walks

Our Lake District Guided Walks cost £50 per person (£40 for half day walks) and we require a minimum of 3 people (for smaller groups a supplement can apply) to guarantee a Lake District Guided Walk can operate. Alternatively we can arrange private walks. Please do not book your travel or accommodation until we have contacted you to confirm the walk will go ahead.

Our walks run throughout the summer months from Easter to September.
