Great Gable

Date: 25/08/2019
Time: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Great Gable

This is a chance to explore Great Gable, one of the most popular Adventure Peaks Lake District Guided Walks. Great Gable is a mountain lying in the heart of the Lake District offering some of the best panoramic views from its rocky summit. The route begins at Honister Pass and works its way through complex, high level terrain to Beck Head, the saddle between Great Gable and Kirk Fell. A rugged and wild climb leads us to the mountain’s mighty summit followed by a steep rough descent across Windy Gap. From here we cross the wide complex ridge and work our way over to Green Gable and Brandreth to reach Grey Knotts.

The Great Gable Guided Walk is a challenging and rewarding day out, offering the walker spectacular mountain passes, excellent rock terrain, tarns, streams and roaming fells. This is a great introduction into the world of Adventure Peaks Classic Lake District Guide Walks.
