There is no better sight than travelling into Langdale. The valley is simply beautiful. The pointy rocky summits of the pikes dominate the skyline for miles. The top are so prominent and recognisable that you can see them from miles away. Situated at the end of the Langdale valley is Bowfell. Its great height and bulk are only obvious on closer inspection, but the mountain is the true ‘king’ of the valley.

The Adventure Peaks Lake District Guided Walk of High Raise is a gentle classic. It is a delight from start to finish comprising of waterfalls, great crags, wild tarns and also performs nobaly as a major panoramic station. High Raise’s central summit postion, slightly bias to the south, give the walker the best wide angled view of the area there is, making you feel right in the heart of the Lake District.

Loughrigg Fell is one of Adventure Peaks shorter Lake District Guided Walks and its proximity to the shop makes it an ideal spot for an afternoon ramble. Although Loughrigg is of lesser height than most of our other walks, it boasts spectacular views, scenic lakes and tarns, craggy outcrops and huge caves. It is a place that has captured the heart of many famous poet and author from Wordsworth, Thomas De Quincy and Wainwright.

Scafell Pike is England’s Highest Mountain, standing an impressive 977m/3205 feet tall. It is a beckoning symbol that at some point in your life must be climbed, with all paths to the top crossing remote, rugged and wild terrain. Skiddaw is the fourth highest mountain in the Lake District and can sometimes be unfairly labelled as dull. Nothing can be further from the truth. Adventure Peaks Lake District Guided Walk of Skiddaw is an excellent day out with a summit that is wild and rocky and runs for a mile and a half with some of the best views in all of the northwestern lakes.
