Lake District Intro Winter Mountaineering

Intro Winter Mountaineering – Instructed on a ratio of 1:3
This course takes you a step beyond just Winter Walking and is aimed at those who aspire to move onto steeper more technical ground where a rope would be used for safe travel/movement
• Recap of existing personal skills for movement on steep ground
• Basic rope work, including belaying
• The construction and use of snow anchors
• Fixed Rope Skills for Expeditions
• Movement on grade 1 ground
£75 per day (if willing to share)
(£160 if booked as private Instruction)
Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
