Intermediate Half Day in Outdoor Rock Climbing
Service Description
For those who have climbed a little outdoors, or are confident indoor climbers, and who want to expand their skills, we will teach you the outdoor climbing basics. WE AIM TO COVER: - Tying in with a figure 8 and a stopper knot - Belaying outdoors safely - Climbing calls - Hazards to look out for in outdoor climbing - Rock types, grading & guide books - Choosing the right crag and climb for you. - Climbing skills & techniques WHAT TO BRING - Comfortable footwear (there will be a walk to approach the rock) - Clothing suitable for climbing (no jeans or skirts) - Warm clothing including hat and gloves - Waterproof jacket - Sun hat, sun glasses and sun cream - Snacks - Water bottle - Any personal medication including Epipens - Personal equipment you'd like to practice with You will be provided with a helmet, a harness, a belay device and climbing shoes (just let us know your size). We aim to confirm the location of the session a couple of days before the booking in an effort to choose the best crag for the weather conditions. THIS ACTIVITY REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 4 PARTICIPANTS TO RUN. Minimum age 8 years.
Cancellation Policy
If you wish to cancel, you must update your booking information via the website or inform us in writing/via email. Your cancellation date is the date on which we receive written instruction or website confirmation. The following cancellation fees will apply: 30¬15 days before start date: retention of 50% of total price. 14 or fewer days before start date: retention of 100% of total price. The Company cannot be held responsible for any missed connecting transport that you have booked independently of the Company.
