Lake District Guided Walk – Blencathera and Sharp Edge
Thursday 18th May 2017
We met at Scales Farm at 9am and with the good weather the walk went very smoothly. Gail was firmly decided she was not going to attempt Sharp Edge and was quite happy to make her own way to the top from the tarn. With the early start, we had the ridge to ourselves and John and Rob both did very well sticking closely to the exposed crest all the way. Visibility was excellent after the rain earlier this week and we could see the Galloway hills, the Pennines as well as most of the Lakeland Peaks very clearly.
