WHAT WE DO
Ambleside Adventure offers exciting outdoor experiences and activities designed to inspire adventure seekers of all ages.
We provide guided activities, public & private sessions, and bespoke courses for individuals and groups alike.
Our services help our clients build confidence, enhance their skills, and create lasting memories in the beautiful Lake District National Park.
Whether you're looking for a family outing, a corporate retreat, or a personal challenge, Ambleside Adventure has something to offer everyone.
Public sessions are available to book between April and October. Private sessions are bookable year round.
WHO WE ARE
Over the Summer months, we work with a team of highly skilled freelancers.
All instructors hold relevant National Governing Body qualifications, alongside up-to-date First Aid, Disclosure & Barring Service checks and Safeguarding training.
JAKE
DIRECTOR

Jake grew up in Hong Kong, spending his time exploring the Country Park on foot and by kayak, and befriending every animal he could find. He has since worked around the world, gathering qualifications as he goes.
Qualifications: Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, Paddlesport Leader, Mountain Bike Level 2 Instructor, Wilderness First Responder (80 Hour)
SOPHIE

Sophie comes from Cambridgeshire but, after growing up on family holidays to the Lake District, she knew this is where she wanted to end up. She discovered climbing at 15 and has been hooked since. She is currently studying Outdoor Adventure & Environmental Studies at UoC.
Qualifications: Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Development, Paddlesport Instructor, First Aid (16 Hour)
LOUISE
DIRECTOR

Louise grew up on the small island of Jersey, surrounded by beaches and cliffs.
She has since travelled the world having ticked off over 60 countries and counting.
Back in the UK she is working hard on making the outdoors accessible.

ALFIE

Alfie the Southerner, now turned Northerner, is the newest face at Ambleside Climbing Wall. Having completed his degree in Outdoor Adventure Leadership, he can now usually be found up on the fells ticking off Wainwrights, or down on the waters of Windermere.
Qualifications: BA Outdoor Adventure Leadership, Climbing Wall Instructor, Paddlesport Leader, Wilderness First Responder (80 Hour)
WILL
INSTUCTOR

Will can pretty much always be found outdoors, be it trad climbing, bouldering, running or cycling in the mountains of the UK National Parks or travelling abroad. He's travelled around Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, South Africa and South America.
Qualifications: Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, First Aid (16 Hour)
ELIOT
HE/HIM
Eliot is always up for an adventure, whether it’s tackling big multi-pitch climbs or taking on long hikes in the UK’s most challenging mountains. Born in Dubai, he discovered his passion for the outdoors at a young age, leading him to spend his days guiding groups across the UK.
Qualifications: Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, Paddlesport Instructor, First Aid (16 Hour)

Ambleside Climbing Wall on the First Floor of 101 Lake Road (above the Expedition Shop).
We are a short walk from the centre of Ambleside, directly next door to Lake Road Pay & Display car park.
PLEASE NOTE: Many Outdoor Guided Activities meet elsewhere in the Lake District.
