Buttermere Public Guided Walk

Duration: Around 6 hours Distance: 15.2km / 9.4 miles Total Ascent: 940m / 3084ft Wainwrights: Red Pike (755m), High Stile (806m) & High Crag (744m) Meeting Point: Syke Farm Campsite Cafe Buttermere is a truly beautiful part of the Lake District with a rugged and remote feel. From our meeting point, we walk to the northwest end of Buttermere and make our way up to Red Pike, our first Wainwright, via Lingcomb Edge. From the summit of Red Pike we then head along the ridge taking in High Stile, High Crag and Seat. From Seat we drop down to Scarth Gap where we descend back to the valley and make our way back to Buttermere along the side of the lake. WHAT TO BRING - Walking boots (waterproof recommended) - Clothing suitable for walking (no jeans) - Rucksack (waterproof liner recommended) - Waterproof jacket and trousers - Warm layer, hat and gloves - Sun hat, sun glasses and sun cream - Water bottle (minimum 1 litre) - Packed lunch - Head torch (charged) - Any personal medication including Epipens This list is mandatory year round. If you are missing any items please get in touch. Arriving to a walk without these items may result in you being turned away. THIS ACTIVITY REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 4 PARTICIPANTS TO RUN.
