Service Description

Duration: Around 4 hours Grade: Easy Minimum Age: 12 years Height: 379m / 1,243ft Distance: 9.7 km / 6 miles Wainwrights: Walla Crag 379m Meeting Point: Outside Keswick Visitor Information Centre What3Words: ///basically.otter.kinder Walla Crag is one of the most accessible Wainwrights in the Northern Lakes and offers stunning views of Derwentwater and the surrounding fells. From the gorgeous market town of Keswick, we will head up into the fells on simple terrain. From the summit you can get a great 360 degree panoramic view of the Northern Lakes, including Skiddaw, Blencathra, Catbells, Grisedale Pike and many more. On a clear day you may also be able to spot Bassenthwaite Lake and distant Scotland. We then walk down toward Falcon Crag and descend down to the beautiful tradition stone Ashness Bridge. You will have the option to return to Keswick along Derwentwater’s shoreline, or to catch the scenic lake boat back at your own cost. WHAT TO BRING - Walking boots (waterproof recommended) - Clothing suitable for walking (no jeans) - Rucksack (waterproof liner recommended) - Waterproof jacket and trousers - Warm layer, hat and gloves - Sun hat, sun glasses and sun cream - Water bottle (minimum 1 litre) - Snacks - Any personal medication including Epipens This list is mandatory year round. If you are missing any items please get in touch. Arriving to a walk without these items may result in you being turned away. THIS ACTIVITY REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF 4 PARTICIPANTS TO RUN.


Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel, you must update your booking information via the website or inform us in writing/via email. Your cancellation date is the date on which we receive written instruction or website confirmation. The following cancellation fees will apply: 30¬15 days before start date: retention of 50% of total price. 14 or fewer days before start date: retention of 100% of total price. The Company cannot be held responsible for any missed connecting transport that you have booked independently of the Company.
